Newcastle Wedding Industry Professionals

Newcastle Wedding Industry Professionals [NWIP] is the longest established network of premier wedding suppliers in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter Valley and Vineyards, Port Stephens, and Central Coast, and surrounding areas.

Newcastle Wedding Industry Professionals is a non-profit NSW registered co-operative organisation, owned and run by its members. Membership comprises of well-recognized quality suppliers of a full range of wedding services.

NWIP has the highest recorded and substantiated visitor and bride registration rate for each and every wedding expo. In 2007, the organisation provided a prize of a $10,000 wedding package at one expo and prizes to a total of $7,000 at another.

NWIP supports charities to a great extent - HCRF (Hunter Children’s Research Foundation) $18,000 over 10 years and HMRI (Hunter Medical Research Institute) $3,000 in 2007.

NWIP's aim is to benefit members through: 

1. Equal ownership of the NWIP Co-operative
2. Access to expos at an extremely reasonable and equal rate to all
3. Regular meetings and social networking evenings
4. Promotion of member businesses via expos, radio, television, website and high quality printed advertising
5. Provision of guest speakers to assist members with small business matters, websites, and promotion of the co-operative and member businesses.

Our aims to benefit the public are to provide: 

1. Quality Wedding Expos - NWIP Wedding Expos have attracted the largest documented numbers of visitors – In January 2007, 503 brides registered and in May 2007, 410 brides registered.)
2. Excellence in service to clients of NWIP members
3. Absolute value for money for clients of NWIP members
4. Substantial donations to worthy charities. Members of the co-operative meet monthly for a general meeting and networking.

AGM Postponed

All members, please be advised that the Annual General Meeting that was planned for 6th September 2010 has been postponed, as our chairman is unavailable.
