If you choose to join NWIP, you can exhibit at 2 Bridal Expos per year for $1,100.

Newcastle Wedding Industry Professionals Bridal Expos proudly support HMRI with a percentage of gate takings donated from every function.

Our History

In 1989, NWIP was formed as a co-operative style wedding industry group. In the 1990's they adopted the name the  " Newcastle Wedding Connection "and became a registered co-operative.

In the early 2000's, the name was changed to the" Newcastle Wedding Industry Professionals Co-Operative Ltd."

All income and expenditure is subject to auditing on an annual basis, with reports submitted to the Department of Fair Trading.

This organisation was the brainchild of a group of dedicated wedding suppliers who could see an opportunity to present a local wedding expo, which had not been done in Newcastle area before.

Directors are elected on an annual basis from the membership, by way of nomination and vote by members. 

All members are equal and have equal say. Comments and feedback are regularly sought and taken into consideration after general discussions at meetings.

General Information

New members are encouraged to contact Directors and submit applications forms to join.

Regular meetings are held and minutes are circulated to all members to keep them informed. At these meetings members are encouraged to give details of their own businesses.

Networking evenings are organised so members can meet, exchange business cards and information.

Members are encouraged to refer clients to other members of the organisation.
